Some Xbox 360 console advice

So I am a pc gamer whose pc is now stone age rather then modern age!!! I am really swayed to getting a 360 but really know nothing about it. If anyone can give some advice that would be great 1. I know the 360 suffered from the red rings of death - does this happen on new consoles2. I want to choose between the elite and premium. I can get a premium with 4 games (crackdown, Lost odyssey, gears of war and blue dragon) for the same price as an elite bundle - is the elite worth paying more for a basic bundle 3. I dont have a hd ready tv but even if i dont get the elite will the premium support hd tv when i get one 4. What are the save game sizes. The premium has a 20gb drive, is this plenty enough for save games only. Do you actually install games a ala PC, I know some of these may seem stoopid but I really want to get a 360 and these will help me out !Some Xbox 360 console advice
