I am buying a new Xbox 360, I need to tr ...

I have looked every where but no one has the same situation as me.

I already have an Xbox 360 (its the family's) But I am going to be buying another Xbox 360 (not elite) to take with me to school.

So I need away to take my game saves with me, I already have a memory card and I have placed the saves onto it. So the major question is...

If I recover my gamertag on the new xbox 360, then copy the saves off the memory card onto the hard drive, will I still be able to gain achievements from those game saves?

The saves were with my profile to start with, so I am not transfering to a different profile.

I'm fairly certain that you can get some sort of cable from MS that will completely copy everything from the original hard drive to the new one.

While it should also work with 20 20, I don't know if MS would send one for that purpose.
Right, I cant do this, I am not buying an elite, and also the family Xbox has my brothers profile on it and the cable will move everything
If you are buying another 360 I say just go all out and get an Elite.

Couldn't you just save the HDD from your current 360 and use it instead of the Elite's HDD? Or are you buying the Elite for the 120GB HDD?

No lol I am not trading, I am not getting a Elite(waste), and I cant switch harddrives because it is the family's xbox and so I would be taking all of their stuff as well which I cant. So that is where the memory card comes in
