Pausing/Cancelling Xbox Live?

Since my 360 is flashing the RROD, I was wondering if there was any way I could pause my XBL subscription until I get my console back. It isn't a big concern, but I'm not going to be able to play XBL until the Purolator courier comes to my front door with my console.Pausing/Cancelling Xbox Live?
Nope, no way to pause it. I have seen people on this forum who said MS packed in a 1 month free code with their fixed systems, ask them for it over the phone.Pausing/Cancelling Xbox Live?
You can't suspend it. Usually, Microsoft send a free 1 month Xbox Live Gold card back with your Xbox 360 though.
I rang x-box/Microsoft to cancel my monthly subscription. I had built up a nice collection of Gold membership cards and wanted to use them. I was told by the nice lady that i would loose my achievements if I cancel, this angered me greatly coz I knew this was not true, I have to delete my account for this to happen. I was kinda prepared for them to try and keep me on as I did some digging and found lots of people have had trouble leaving them. this is another example of Microsoft lying and trying to steal from the working class. makes me want to start a revolution and rush their headquarters demanding that they give us money for not fixing problems with games and leaving US to test them instead of paying for proper development.DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!!!Phew. Feel better after getting that off my chest.

I just did, coz I'm leaving my 360 for the summer holidays. :(I think the number depends on your region. Go to http://www.xbox.com and select your region (on the top left). Then go to support, and look for cancelling your XBL subscription. It'll give you a number.
