Well XBL is a very good, better than PS3 IMO. A lot of good games for the 360 you can already buy for the PS3. So unless you're willing to get a 360 primarily for exclusives (such as halo) then stick with the PS3. I like the 360 controller a lot more than PS3's also. 360 is poor!
well, from strictly a budget angle, if you have the extra cash for the system and a game or two maybe, i'd go for it. the online stuff, while not free like playstation's, blows the ps3 online gaming out of the water. however, if you have the ps3 already, maybe get some new games for that, since you've already bought it? i'm trying to be as objective as possible, since i'm not a ps3 lover, but i dont hate on those that have one. i'll probably buy one when i have the extra money
First of all, if you're in a financial crunch, save your money for more important stuff like food and clothing and rent or your mortgage or whatever your living situation is.
Second, you're in the 360 board, so how can you not expect anyone to not be biased?
Third, take this to system wars because that's all you're going to start with this thread.
PROs:
The weapons grade laser inside it can be used to burn your enemies
CONs:
The weapons grade laser inside it doesn't like discs.

Even the most resolute fanboy can see problems in his/her system such as RROD. And dont worry, i'm 15 so i dont need to pay for food and water and rent and stuff :PJust cant get a jog in the damn village i live in. Full of old people :(Thanks for the advice though (to the OTHER GUYS  )I think that i will get one someday. Oh, and the only thing about XBL is that it is ?0 per annum, which is a bit of a turn off. I will conced that it is the better online system though.

360 has fantastic xbox live arcade, a great rpg system, and ... ya i dunno its up to you
ACHIEVEMENTS! They can be addicting at times, and they really add to a game's life-span. You'll get a big grin on your face when you unclock your first one.
Hmm. Achievements used to mean more to me...Then Trophies were announced for PS3. It's kinda shameless of Sony to take achievements, but hey, Miscrosoft took someone's idea for a game console :PIf i was to get one, is it worth forking out the little bit more to get a premium over the sh!tty arcade?
More people have an Xbox 360, so the online community is larger. Always a Pro for me :)
Yes it is worth it to fork over a little more money for the pro system. Mainly because you need a hard drive to get the most out of the 360. so if you were going to just get the arcade version and not purchase a hard drive i would say just stay with you PS3. MGS4 is coming out this month that should keep you busy for a while.
well as someone who doesnt really care about all of this system wars stuff i can say that it was definatley worth it to get the 360... now if its the same in ur case (cuz of the ps3) is another question but when i finally have some money im gonna get a ps3 for games like KILLZONE ;). anyways the 360 is loud and unsturdy but its still my favorite consoles i have ever owned. so i guess its up to you but incase you get a 360 message me so we can exchange gamertags
You're desire to get a 360 is, of course, entirely your choice. But I simply love the 360! The Pro's for the 360 (in my opinion) are:- Great Exclusive titles, such as Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing 4, Dead or Alive 4..etc. - Great emerging titles, such as Fable 2, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Halo Wars..etc.- Achievements are extremely fun to earn.- Fantastic controller (Preferable then the PS3's)The Con's (also in my opinion) are:- Fear of the Red Ring Of Death (I've had my 360 for 2 and a half years now... no problems)- No MGS4!- Accesories can be a bit expensive at times.
I dont know why people say that the online is better on the xbox, IMO, playstation network dont ask anything to the Live online gameplay quality, in fact when I played MK2 online on my PS3 the conection in a 98% of the times was perfect, however, in the xbox 360 playing Mk ultimate or street fighter always had lag...I love both my consoles, the only fact I hate about the 360 is the life of the console, but regardless that both consoles have great games
Hmm, seems like everytime someone throws out a few pros about this system this guy counters them with something about a PS3. I think msjr78 was right and this topic should be in system wars.

Honestly, I think the 360 has a all around better online experience, but *flinches* as a Wii60 owner I would reccomend a wii if you already own a ps3. If this was your first next gen console I would say go for the 360, but if you want more variety I would go with the Wii. Having both a ps3 and a 360 has it's advantages but having either a 360 and a wii or a ps3 and a wii seems to me to add some variety to the whole gaming experience.
If i was to get one, is it worth forking out the little bit more to get a premium over the sh!tty arcade?
I'd go with a Pro If I were you. most people are buying a HDD in the long run anyway.pros:-Dashboard is user friendly -huge Xboxlive Arcade collection (bigger than PSN's)-huge library (most exclusive are getting PC/360 shared exclusives so I hope you don't own a gaming PC)-solid online features (it's better than PSN FOR NOW but it'll cost you 50 a year to play games online)-more game patches (bug fixes)cons: -older models sound like fighter jets taking off-RROD-50$ to play games online (compared to Playsations free service)-far more MicrotransactionsI own both ps3 and 360 aswell, but I bought the ps3 for the exclusives only because all my friends have a 360. So I dont know how it is to buy a 360 only for exclusives.hope I helped you out:)
