This has been discussed many, many, many times before and the fact of the matter is that since they all these people are in a position to where there actions have no real life consequences then they are going to be more rude, mean, etc.Xbox Live Community is GARBAGE
So in short...not much can be done. On almost any game community there will be people like this. Get used to it or move on.
Breaking News : People Suck.
The only thing that can be done is not getting XBL. Weight the pros and cons, if it bothers you that much dont get it. I'm not a huge fan of some of the people on there, but playing online is worth it in my opinion.
If that's the way you feel then don't play live. People can say whatever they want to say online because it's their right. You're not the one to judge
It's all very sad and true. I just don't even put my headset on unless I'm playing with friends.
Breaking News : People Suck.
true that...
Yeah it sucks. I haven't been on it as long as a lot of people but it's even worse than I thought it would be, and I heard horror story after horror story coming in. But I also kind of think it comes with the territory and is unfortunately just something that is part of gaming and is here to stay. I think the choices are to tolerate it or avoid public XBL play altogether. I don't know if anything can be done but I'm not sure MS would even do it if it could.
did u say the UNO community is good? I've seen the most vile things on that Xbox Live Cam...I'll take a racist MLG worshiping 5 year old any day than have some of those images burned into my brain.
Honestly, I don't understand how people complain about the online community. Every single event in life has individuals acting in a nimrod mentality: Sporting events, forums, online play, etcetera. I'm guilt of some of these claims myself; but what people forget to see is that we all have this wonder ability to mute individuals that are annoying or rude. Not only can you mute these nasty individuals but you can also put them on a magical avoid list which grants you the ability to AVOID them.Xbox live has a great system in place to minimize these troublesome beings; the problem is individuals don't take responsiblity for their own actions and simply place the blame on everything else beside themselves. All it takes is a bit of time and effort to easily have a hate-free experience online; there is no reason to needlessly limit your gaming experience due to some bad apples when you have perfectly capable tools at your disposal purposely made to handle these situations. Instead of placing the blame on xbox live or those sugar filled 13 year olds maybe more time should be spent ignoring them and just enjoying xbox live for what it is; a virtual world where friends can come together to blast virtual heads!!
I love the XBOX LIVE Community!! :D
The people that have said ''oh, it's their right to say what they want to say on XBL'' probably are these people in question. And yeah, people can say what they want to say, but when it brings down the value of the 50 bucks a year I pay, that's when it crosses the line.

Muting isn't going to stop someone from intentionally doing something to screw you over and stop you from winning a game. And muting or avoiding someone is the equivalent of stepping on a single cockroach. You know what they say about cockroaches -- if you see one, that means there's usually 100 more right nearby. So you can mute someone but it isn't going to prevent someone completely different in the next game from being even worse. And the avoid list isn't foolproof; I've seen people on my avoid list show up in one of my future games on multiple occasions. I do like where you're coming from but to me, a hate-free gaming environment is one where there's no griefing and no need to mute or avoid anyone in the first place.
I find no problem.
Do what I do and dont use a mic.
I dont really see an issue. sure it can be annoying at times but it comes with the territory. I dont see the problem with these so called people with no lives and worship MLG. The community is garbage because someone plays a lot and is good at the game? I play a lot of Halo and i really dont see the whole trash talking issue as bad as it used to be in Halo 2. Sure theres the occasional nuisance but not so bad as it once was. Then again maybe its there and just doesnt bother me since ive grown accustom to the sillyness of it all.
Just mute them. Find cool people and try to get along. I usually find myself gathering a party on Halo or CoD and just playing games together. XBL can be alot of fun and this is over exaggerated way too much.
Breaking News : People Suck.
Never read a more true comment.
Its not just XBL its the world dude. Their are alot of unpleasent ppl in it. To be honest their are alot of nasty ppl om live but their are also nice ppl as well. The key is to manging it I just dont use my mic but only use it when talking to friends. If someone when sends you a nsty msg just block communications. Because Im not gunna let ppl ruin my fun online becuase XBL is good and fun.
