I play Call of Duty 4 and Oblivion for hours on end and nothing. But if my brother gets on and plays Gears of War or Halo 3, he gets Red Ring of Death in less than 30 minutes. Is it the games? Or just the timing? We've gotten the Red Ring of Death about 7-8 times now, and I'm thinking these games are going to break the 360. Red Ring of Death playing Gears and Halo
It's just coincidence, it has nothing to do with the games.Red Ring of Death playing Gears and Halo
It's just coincidence, it has nothing to do with the games.
Agreed, but an odd one nonetheless
I got RROD while I was playing Halo 3 online. That was the only time and I haven't sent it away, and that was 2 months ago and it hasn't shown itself since. Luckily.
I am just spit balling here but it might be because Halo 3 and Gears of War are more hardware damanding gaming, in other words, it uses more of the 360's hardware then Call of Duty 4.
I don't think the game could make the xbox get the RROD because you get the RROD only when the 360 has overheated. I think the main problem you have is how many time u spend playing the 360 because long hours of play cause that problem so its not your brothers fault just bad timing. I recommend you to add an other fan to your 360, here is Argentina people usually adds fans as to ''evade'' that problem. Good Luck
i guess its hown long you got it maybe if you had a 360 for two years and it hasnt been out yet it should go get the rings quick if you play online or have a harddrive damage
I don't think it is a rrod issue at all. You are just overheating. If your 360 is not in wide open space it will overheat. If it is hotter in your house (summertime) this might cause it to overheat also. If you get the true RROD your 360 wont turn back on It's cooked. Someone mentioned another fan, thats a good idea and I would also make sure it's not in an enclosed area.Peace
its the system.. the game doesn't matter
