If 360 breaks, any compensation?

Like, if your 360 broke because of the RROD, would they give you like 1000 Microsoft Points or something. Or some free arcade games, because the problem was not your fault?If 360 breaks, any compensation?

Not much, you should get more than one month and a few hundred MS Points.
Well i know sombody who complained because he had to take his xbox back FOUR times....So they sent him a copy of VIVA PINATA...:P

He was so pissed off.
As far as I've heard is when you hit 5 broken 360s MS will send you either a copy of Viva Pinata, Kameo or a controller. I'm on my 4th 360 and I havent been sent anything yet except for a free month of XBL every time.
Compensation? Yeah, they fix it for free.
on my first repair, i got a copy of pgr3, free month xbl, and all the ms points i had spent already refunded to another account to redownload my arcade games that would no longer work under my new serial #. Second repair, got viva pinata, and ms points refunded again. Third repair, live vision cam, and ms points refunded again, by the way I rarely used them to redownload the same arcade games, I would do the major stuff like geomitry wars and a few other things I needed. So I'd have a ton of points left to buy new stuff, close to the equivilent of 200 dollars extra.On my fourth repain free controller, and NO ms points, guess they caught on, they pretty much told me I'd have to wait for the DRM tool later this month to change my dlc to my current console. I've never had any of it offered to me, I would always make a big fuss over it untill I spoke with a supervisor and eventually I'd get something out of em in addition to the free repair. But from my most recent dealings with MS its not as easy to squeeze as much compensation out of em, mainly now they'll never give out ms points.
Got mine back last month. Came with one month Xbox LIVE Gold. They do repair the unit for free though, postage and all, which is good. Still, I dont have internet at home so the LIVE card is completely useless. Something else would have been nice.

Wow thats f'ing weak, they should give you like a free copy of Halo 3 or something...because your system broke for reasons you don't deserve. I'm going to call microsoft and **** scream at them for hours until I get what I deserve.

Yeah, but they will give you a new tv right away. I hear that it takes a month for your 360 to come back. It's just the idea that you are a consumer of their product, and because of faulty hardware,I am being forced to not do something that I wan't. Your point is completely irrelevant to the subject matter, I am saying that I deserve some kind of compensation and everyone does that has had to turn in a 360 multiple times. And yes, when I turned in my broken laptop I recieved a free iPod nano, and TVs come imediately when you turn them into the store. Microsoft and maybe Sony are the only companies that don't give major compensation to problems like this. Most stores/companies give store credit (which would be MS points), so person above me; if you can think of an example that actually works in this scenario than I will give you a cookie...but for now you are wrong.

This is what I received. Like others have said, you shouldn't be given anything in return, apart from your console.

I've heard that if you persist they'll throw you a copy of Kameo, PGR 3 or some other early Microsoft Game Studios game.
Usual compensation is one month gold live, but if you call them and ask you can get other things.If something goes wrong with the console you receive back, then you can claim tier 2 compensation, which is picking one item from a list that has wireless controller, play %26 charge kit, a launch game (kameo I think) and a couple of other things.
